Discover what's new in the new version of the Strategic Management software
The year 2013 closes on a high note for Stratec with the launch of version 6.01 of its Strategic Management software. Many new features have been implemented in the system to make the user's life easier and mature the management process in partner companies.
The first innovation deals with the possibility of visualizing graphs and the graph tree with a different periodicity than the indicator. Neidson Silva, Stratec's support and homologation coordinator, explains: “For example, if there's a weekly-based indicator and the user clicks to display its graph, they can select a monthly view of the same indicator. Then it will show the graph with the weekly values accumulated for the month. And best of all, it accumulates both the goal and the result, and this only works in terms of visualization; the indicator itself doesn't change,” he says.
In the management view function, there are also new features. It is now possible to establish a condition for the graph to appear or not on a new page. This means I can set the condition that the graph will only appear if performance is below 100% or if the monitoring report has been filled out. Otherwise, the graph will not appear. “This feature will be widely used when management needs to hold employees accountable. As long as the result is below expectations, the software will display the graph and show everyone that area X or person X has not met the goal,” explains Silva.
The entire visual appearance in the dashboard can be customized according to the company. The font type, font size, background, colors, italics, bold – everything can be personalized in a way that leaves it how the client wants. Furthermore, it is now possible to hide filters and the header to display only the graph during presentations. This measure was requested by some clients and will be available in the new version.
Another new feature is the ability to add a photo to employee profiles. Simply click on the blank space and upload the file. “This will be useful for identifying employees in very large companies. There's no need to save, just import,” comments Silva.
A function that users are already familiar with is sending emails directly from the software to collaborators when an action or goal has not been completed, is overdue, or an indicator is outdated. What's changing now is that the email will already come with a direct link to the referred action, making it easier for the responsible person to access it.
Those who prefer to work with fixed values in annual planning will also notice another convenience in the software. In version 6.01, managers can create an annual goal and include a formula in the system so that it automatically divides and fills in the fixed values for each month. “The formulas are open-ended; the client can include any formula they want in the system,” says Silva.
There are over 80 innovations in this new version that will make managers' daily lives easier and more productive, in addition to the requested adjustments. Stratec is always available for suggestions about the system, aiming to simplify and enhance the user experience.
