In the current corporate landscape, elements such as globalization and technological advancement highlight so-called startups; nascent companies that impose a competitive presence in the market. One way to guarantee this competitive advantage is, without a doubt, the implementation of strategic planning.
Logum – a startup that operates the Ethanol Logistics System in the country – according to the company's strategic planning manager, Tereza Sanges, invested in the development of a strategic map as a growth bet; with the hiring of consulting services being the first step. “After we drew up the strategic map, the need arose to break it down into actions; also with the definition of indicators, projects, and processes to monitor. Based on market research that looked for available monitoring tools, we pre-selected approximately six software programs and opted for Gestão Estratégica, from Stratec,” says the Logum Logística manager.
Among the determining factors for choosing GE, as Tereza points out, besides meeting the requirement of adherence to the BSC methodology, differentials such as personalized service and the tool's flexibility came into play. “The price was another advantageous factor. And the entire implementation has been quite satisfactory, with a lot of interaction and support at various stages. We are now in a phase of awareness and creation of a strategic culture throughout the company's context. The next step, with completion expected by September at the latest, is for the tool to be operational and generating data to assist our management,” states Tereza Sanges. For Stratec, the successful partnership with Logum serves to reaffirm the potential of Strategic Management in achieving good results in corporate management. With its implementation in a startup, the tool proves its efficiency in the dynamic of the contemporary business scenario.
