The new GE software functionality allows strategic information of organizations to be shared among employees and stakeholders.
Within organizations, whether private or public, communication is an essential factor for motivation and integration. It is through communication that a sense of unity and harmony is created within the company. The more employees are seen as partners and are well-informed about the company's values, goals, and strategies, the more involved they feel with the organization's objectives. When an employee feels part of a whole, they understand the importance of their work and strive to fulfill their tasks.
To improve communication within companies, Stratec launched a new feature in version 6.1.29 of its Strategic Management software: an “External Query,” which allows administrators to provide software screens with strategic information that will be presented on the intranet or website.
According to Guilherme Barbassa, Executive Director of Stratec, the objective of this tool is to bring transparency to strategic management and serve as a communication tool within institutions. “In private companies, this can be a communication tool to convey what the company's strategy is to shareholders and employees. It is possible to put a dashboard on the intranet that shows the results of each area and the indicators, making the company's performance known to everyone.” Furthermore, he remarks that for public agencies, such functionality can also be useful, as it will provide transparency to the institution's performance and present the justification for the allocation of public resources.
Cristiano Meireles, Test and Support Analyst at Stratec, states that the tool can be used to improve the company's external image and gives an example: “Suppose a hospital has a graph showing the infection rate throughout the year. With this tool, the graph can be provided on the website, so that those who access it can see how the evolution is month by month,” he commented.
The “External Query” feature was suggested by a Stratec client, Claudio Oliveira, Coordinator of Strategic Management at TRT of the 10th Region. According to him, the need for a username and password to access software information was hindering the dissemination of information. “We wanted to foster a results-oriented management culture by providing access to all court members, indicators, and results, thereby creating opportunities for monitoring, improvement, or corrective actions to enhance the performance of the institution's units.” According to him, the suggestion was designed to further expand access methods to help create a culture of continuous improvement with the possibility of exchanging experiences between units.
Stratec always encourages its colleagues to submit improvement proposals for the software, as it believes a good idea can help the management of many other companies. “Stratec's stance on supporting initiatives to expand the strategic management of labor courts has made a significant difference in the institutional development process,” comments Oliveira.
The functionality is already available to all users who update the system to the new version. To learn more about Strategic Management software, watch our videos or request a demo. To learn more about Strategic Management software, watch our videos or request a demo.
