Ninety-three percent (93%) of Brazilian companies are concerned about Excellence in management. This is what a groundbreaking study conducted by the National Quality Foundation (FNQ) with 309 national companies and released in a report by Portal HSM indicates. The main concerns of entrepreneurs, according to the report, are better results, customer relationships, and people management.
Investments that are not directly financial, such as employee training, social and environmental actions, and customer loyalty programs, are part of the operational policies of 88% of the corporations surveyed in the study. According to the Portal HSM article, the sectors that invest the most in management excellence, in order, are: automotive, electric power, chemical, and petrochemical.
In a final analysis of the research results, the president of FNQ states in a declaration featured in the HSM.Com report: “Highly competitive environments, pressure for cost reduction, socio-environmental issues, economic growth, mitigating the effects of the global financial crisis, and the emergence of new business opportunities, such as pre-salt, are factors that have challenged companies from various segments and regions to pursue management excellence,” says Jairo Martins.
