Following the process of internationalization from the company, Mexico will be the second country to receive GE software
Continuing the project of internationalization From Stratec in Latin America, the company is now expanding its activities into Mexico. Mexico was chosen as the second country in the international expansion line-up due to its GDP: $1.177 trillion – the largest among Spanish-speaking Latin American countries. Last July, the software Strategy Management, the company's main product, was presented to Colombian market, where it was well-received.
According to Karen Echeverrí, operations manager in Mexico, the prospects for introducing the software Strategy Management On the Mexican market, they are very attractive. “In recent years, companies have shown interest in systematizing their processes, strategies and implement the necessary tools to ensure its performance and to guarantee the quality of products and services,” he says.
Guilherme Barbassa, director of Stratec, is also excited about the new opportunities for the GE software. “My expectations are the best possible. We have contacts with some companies and we notice that it is a market that demands this type of solution. Our software, from all indications, will fit the need we saw there,” he says.
Being close to the US economy is also a challenge, according to Karen. She comments that many companies have been looking for solutions outside of Mexico, and the North American territory is a competitive market. However, she believes that this threat can be offset by the opportunities identified in the country's governmental sector, which is a large niche that requires monitoring of its strategy implementation. “I believe the product's acceptance will be very good, firstly because of the GE software's features and secondly because it offers great advantages compared to other tools. During the first few weeks of its introduction in Mexico, some consulting firms agreed that the tool is quite complete and meets the market's needs in this area,” she says.
Barbassa remains confident. “We expect to meet an existing demand in this market. As our software is already available in Spanish, we are prepared,” he reveals.
In this first phase, Karen will be responsible for consolidating Stratec's operations in Mexico and building strong marketing channels that will allow us to reach more companies with a high-quality product. “I will also ensure that our software becomes an essential tool for the execution of strategy and from the results of companies that use our product,” he says.
According to Guilherme Barbassa, Stratec's internationalization is just beginning. The next targeted destination is Argentina, and in the second half of the year, they plan to enter the United States and Canadian markets.
