New functionality of GE software allows strategic information from organizations to be shared between collaborators and stakeholders.
Within organizations, whether private or public, communication is an essential factor for motivation and integration. It is through communication that a sense of unity and harmony is created in the company. The more employees are seen as partners and are well-informed about the company's values, goals, and strategies, the more they will feel involved with the organization's objectives. When an employee feels like part of the whole, they understand the importance of their work and strive to perform their tasks.
To improve communication within companies, Stratec has launched a new feature in version 6.1.29 of its Strategic Management software: “External Consultation.” This feature allows managers to make software screens with strategic information available for presentation on an intranet or a specific internet site in a more democratic way.
According to Guilherme Barbassa, director of Stratec, the objective of this tool is to provide transparency in strategic management and serve as a communication tool within institutions. “In private companies, this can be a communication tool to convey the company's strategy to shareholders and employees. It is possible to put a dashboard on the intranet that displays the results of each area and the indicators, making the company's performance known to everyone.” He also comments that this functionality could also be useful for public bodies, as it will provide transparency regarding the institution's activities and present justifications for the allocation of public resources.
Cristiano Meireles, a test and support analyst at Stratec, ensures that the tool can also be used to improve companies“ external image, providing an example: ”Let's suppose a hospital has a chart that tracks the hospital infection rate throughout the year. With this tool, they can make the chart available on their website, so that anyone who accesses it can see the month-to-month progress," he reveals.
The “External Inquiry” feature was suggested by one of Stratec's clients, Cláudio Oliveira, strategic management coordinator at TRT of the 10th Region. According to him, the need for a username and password to access the software's information was hindering the dissemination of information. “We intended to foster a results-oriented management culture by providing access to all court members, indicators, and results, thereby creating ways to monitor, improve, or seek corrections in procedures with the goal of enhancing the performance of their unit within the institution.” He also stated that the suggestion aimed to expand access methods to aid in creating a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate experience sharing among units.
Stratec always encourages its partners to submit software improvement suggestions, as it believes a good idea can help manage many other companies. “Stratec's stance in supporting initiatives to expand strategic management in Labor Courts has been a major differentiator in the process of institutional development,” praises Oliveira.
The functionality is already available for all users who update the system to the new version. To learn more about the Strategic Management software, watch our videos or request a demonstration.
