Nowadays, it is crucial for an employee to have the same spirit as the company owner, that is, the entrepreneurial spirit what drives you to strive for the best results.

Why is it important to show results?

The days are gone when each professional needed to worry exclusively about their own tasks, focusing only on doing what was proposed when taking on a certain role.

Currently, it takes flexibility to assimilate all the organizational culture and the daily corporate bureaucracy, as well as investing time and energy into relationships with colleagues and leaders, development of skills and knowledge acquisition.

It's important to care about the professional image you're creating while carrying out your activities, as positive points in certain aspects can be what will make your name stand out when promotions, growth opportunities, or salary negotiations arise.

Motivation, productivity, and proactivity are points that attract managers' attention. For example, a professional should not wait to receive their management Ready. They can set their own goals, which are ambitious but realistic, and monitor their performance with success indicators to more easily show the results achieved.

How to start?

If you recognize the importance of showing results, but you're not yet sure exactly how to do it, check out some practical tips on how to showcase your value to the company where you work:

Cultivate good relationships

Strive to build good relationships with colleagues and managers, not just for networking, but also to be that team member who can foster a more pleasant atmosphere in the workplace.

This requires respect for diversity, meaning dignified treatment for everyone, regardless of personal characteristics and roles/positions within the company. Furthermore, supporting the development of others through feedback that can inspire and encourage improvements is part of the profile of a good employee.

In our GE software, employees can give each other feedback directly on the Success Indicator or through private chat, fostering collaboration among the organization's human resources.

Chat, no GE software
Collaboration chat for feedback, ideas, and praise

Monitor the results regularly

If you want to show good results, it's very important that your goals are broken down into smaller volumes, so you can identify deviations in advance and correct your course in time.

For example, if the goal is to generate 30 sales presentations in a month, the sales department needs to generate 5 presentations per week or one presentation per business day. If you monitor daily, each day that the planned presentation is not generated, you can plan a greater effort the next day to compensate. gap.

The GE software not only allows for daily monitoring of goals or at the periodicity that makes the most sense for your company, but you can also configure automatic alerts that notify the employee (and the manager) if the plan was not met during that period. The alert can be configured to arrive via email or as a notification in the app. This makes it easy to manage and correct deviations to present positive results!

Be participatory

This is where the saying “out of sight, out of mind” applies. Be active and show your ideas and opinions whenever you have the opportunity, whether in an important meeting or in simple conversations with colleagues.

This way, others will begin to perceive you as someone who shows interest in corporate matters.

Whenever possible, offer help, propose solutions, and take responsibility to show that you are committed to the organization's results. Furthermore, always be concerned with creating corrective actions for unmet goals in order to change the negative outcome in the following month.

In Stratec's software, employees can already create a corrective action plan for each “red” indicator, meaning those that did not meet their targets. This facilitates visualization by the manager and self-management by the employee.

Look for improvements

A professional who constantly strives to improve their skills, learn new techniques, and stay updated on their field is certainly more valued than one who remains stagnant.

Strive to maintain a standard of excellence in the services provided to the institution, investing in courses and the acquisition of relevant information to improve quality from your work.

It's worth noting that one needs to value oneself, but with moderation in demonstrating this, so as not to end up sounding like a superiority complex, belittling colleagues' talents. The right measure of these attitudes will result in self-confidence and security, but not arrogance.
