In partnership with a consultancy company in Portugal, GE software will enter the European market in 2016.
While some companies struggle with the current Brazilian market instability, Stratec announces its entry into the European market through a partnership with DEXTRA Consulting, a Portuguese consulting firm. Thus, Stratec continues its internationalization process, aiming for growth and operation in major markets. Actively operating in Latin America (Chile, Colombia, and Mexico), Stratec intends with this partnership to also operate in Europe and Africa.
According to Guilherme Barbassa, director of Stratec, Stratec's move to Portugal shows that there is a significant common cultural factor between the two countries. “Brazilian and Portuguese companies have a very close culture. As Stratec already has a strong national presence, we imagine that companies in Portugal have the same needs as companies here, which is why we see this partnership as a great opportunity to enter the Portuguese market and the European market as well,” he celebrates.
Fernando Freitas, director of DEXTRA Consulting, is also optimistic about the partnership. “The expectation created in this partnership is based on the “Win Win” logic, meaning we expect to add value to the “Stratec, DEXTRA Consulting, and final client” triangle,“ he says. According to Freitas, the partnership can be considered a synergistic force for both companies because, for DEXTRA Consulting, it represents a broader offering of management solutions within its client network. ”With over 13 years of activity, our company is focused on marketing management solutions and providing services, but we were missing the strategic management support tool. For Stratec, the partnership represents an opening to new markets, especially Spain and Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOPs),” he explains.
The meeting between the two companies came about through an internet search. “We found some companies, but we liked Stratec more and began to dialogue,” recalls Freitas. For the Portuguese entrepreneur, it was important to find a tool that it was functional, sufficiently mature, robust, adaptable, mobile, and that it covered the Balanced Scorecard model and other Management Excellence Models. Furthermore, it was necessary for the tool to allow integration with other vertical management models and tools. “As we know well the needs of implementing various monitoring techniques for ‘Tactics Management’, which allow operationalizing the strategy defined for an entity, the other modules in Stratec's product portfolio were strong influencers in choosing the company as a strategic partner. Stratec's tools simplify the monitoring and analysis of strategy results, generating answers,” praises Freitas.
According to Barbassa, from the very first contact with DEXTRA, they noticed a highly qualified team with vast knowledge of strategic management and a strong focus on results. “My expectations are the best possible. When you combine a robust software like GE with an experienced company that works with transparency, quality, and rigor, success is guaranteed,” he celebrates.
The DEXTRA team is being trained on the various modules of the Stratec product suite, and operations are expected to begin soon.
