Por eso, en pr\u00e1cticamente toda organizaci\u00f3n estructurada, existe un esfuerzo consistente por traducir la estrategia en objetivos, n\u00fameros y compromisos expl\u00edcitos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aun as\u00ed, en la pr\u00e1ctica, muchas empresas conviven con una paradoja dif\u00edcil de ignorar: cuanto m\u00e1s metas existen, menos foco real aparece en el d\u00eda a d\u00eda.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por lo tanto, el problema no est\u00e1 en trabajar con metas. Est\u00e1 en creer que la claridad, por s\u00ed sola, es suficiente para orientar las decisiones. Como resultado, todas tienen sentido de forma aislada \u2014 y todas parecen alineadas con la estrategia. Nada puede posponerse sin escalamiento. Las decisiones simples adquieren matices pol\u00edticos. La estrategia deja de resolver trade-offs y pasa \u00fanicamente a justificarlos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El efecto acumulado es predecible: las metas dejan de orientar decisiones y pasan a legitimar la sobrecarga.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las organizaciones que operan de esta manera tienden a decidir m\u00e1s lentamente y a desgastar m\u00e1s a sus liderazgos. Las metas se convierten en instrumentos de control y no de coordinaci\u00f3n. Hacen expl\u00edcitas las relaciones de prioridad entre ellas. Usan las metas para resolver conflictos y no solo para reportarlos. Y revisan los objetivos cuando el contexto cambia, sin apego excesivo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En estos casos, la meta deja de ser solo un objetivo.
