Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use some personal data that belongs to those who use our website. In doing so, we assume the responsibility to properly manage the data and are subject to the provisions of Federal Law no. 13.709/2018 (General Law on Protection of Personal Data – Brazil). We respect your privacy in relation to any information that we may collect on our website.
We only retain the collected information for as long as necessary to provide the requested service. When we store data, we protect it within commercially acceptable means, and thus prevent loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. We do not share personally identifiable information publicly or with third parties, except when required by law.
Legal bases for the processing of personal data
A legal basis for the processing of personal data is a legal foundation, provided by law, which justifies it. Thus, each personal data processing operation must have a corresponding legal background.
We process the personal data of our users in the following cases:
- With the consent of the personal data owner
- When necessary, to meet the legitimate interests of the data controller or a third party.
Certain personal data processing operations carried out on our website will depend on the prior consent of the user, who must express it freely, informed and unequivocally.
The user may revoke her consent at any time, and, if there is no legal possibility that requires the storage of data, the data provided by consent will be deleted.
In addition, if desired, the user may refuse any personal data processing operation based on previous consent, however, software functionalities that depends on consent of personal data use might be unavailable. In any case, the user will be informed about the consequences of consent refusal before treatment.
- Legitimate interest
The user of the website has the following rights, conferred by the Law on Protection of Personal Data:
– confirmation of the existence of data treatment;
– access to data;
– correction of incomplete, inaccurate or obsolete data;
– anonymity, blocking or elimination of unnecessary, excessive or processed data that do not comply with the provisions of the law;
– data portability to another services or products provider, upon express request, in accordance with the regulations of the national authority, with due respect for commercial and industrial secrets;
– deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the owner, except in the cases provided by law;
– information from public and private entities with which the data controller made a shared use of data;
– information about the possibility to refuse consent and on the consequences of refusal;
– revocation of consent.
It is important to note that, under the terms of the LGPD, there is no right to delete the data processed based on legal bases other than consent, unless the data is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in breach of the law.
Security measures in the processing of personal data
The measures we use consider the nature of the data, the context and purpose of the treatment, the risks that an eventual violation would generate for the rights and freedoms of the user, and the standards currently used in the market by companies like ours.
Even if you adopt everything in your power to prevent security incidents, there is the possibility of a problem caused exclusively by a third party -as in the case of cyberattacks or by user’s fault, that might occur when he/she transfers personal data to a third party by misleading or scam. Thus, although we are generally responsible for the personal data that we process, we are exempt from liability in the event of an exceptional situation such as these, over which we have no control.
If any type of security incident occurs that may generate relevant risks or damages to any of our users, we will inform those affected and the National Data Protection Authority about the facts, in accordance with the provisions of the LGPD.
Complaint to a regulatory authority
Without prejudice to any other means of administrative or judicial appeal, holders of personal data who feel, in any way, harmed, may file a claim with the National Data Protection Authority.
Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to modify these rules at any time, especially to adapt them to any changes made to our website, whether by making new functions available, deleting, or modifying existing ones.
Whenever there is a change, our users will be notified.
